Museum of Vuk and Dositej

The Museum of Vuk and Dositej follows language reformer Vuk Karadžić and educator Dositej Obradović. Books, portraits and archival material illuminate Serbia’s educational and literary history. The Dorćol building is part of the experience: it once housed the Great School in the early nineteenth century. Combine the visit with a walk along Gospodar Jevremova and neighbouring streets. Reading the exhibit explanations is rewarding here, as individual documents reveal wider changes in language, learning and cultural life.
